About Home

Colonel’s Paradise is an expansive 11-bedroom family retreat in Bir, Himachal Pradesh, built by a retired Army Colonel. Set amidst lush greenery and just 10 minutes from Bir’s paragliding landing site, it offers a peaceful escape while keeping the best of Bir within easy reach.

Designed for families and groups, the villa combines warm wooden accents, beautiful interiors and generous common spaces. Spend slow mornings walking through the lush green lawns, unwind over conversations or challenge your group to a game of pool.

With ample space for gatherings, Colonel’s Paradise is equally suited for relaxed staycations, family holidays, celebrations and intimate wedding events—a home where large groups can come together without compromising on comfort or privacy.

We care for your absolute comfort! To that effect, please note:
Smoking within the villa is prohibited, and guests are advised to smoke outdoors and must ensure the use of ashtrays for fire safety precautions.
To respect the neighbourhood’s serenity, loud music and noise are not permitted post 10:00 pm in the garden or villa premises.
Parking space available.
Food is not allowed in bedrooms

Home Rules

Check-in time is 2 PM and Checkout time is 11 AM. Requests for early check-in or late check-out would be subject to availability with additional charges.
100% payment for the accommodation is required to confirm a booking.
Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight. Non-registered visitors are not allowed to sleep in the villa.

To respect the neighbourhood’s serenity, loud music and noise are not permitted post 10:00 pm in the garden or villa premises.
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings, as room cleaning is done in guests’ absence for sanitisation purposes. Any damages incurred to the property during the stay will be billed to the guest upon departure.
While we do not sell alcohol at the bungalow, guests are permitted to bring their own, allowing for a personalised experience.
To provide you with the best dining experience, we request that you inform us of your meal preferences on the day of your arrival.
Pets are welcome here! We allow pets to stay with their owners at the bungalow, ensuring no family member is left behind.

Food & Beverages Policy
Outside food is strictly not allowed at the home.
Guests can opt for meal options at an extra price. Meal payments have to be done minimum 2 days prior to the booking for the concerned staff to take your order and source necessary items as the home is situated in a remote location.
Meal payments are non-refundable if the meals are not consumed by the guests
Breakfast is served between 8:00 am – 10:30 am, offering a fresh start to your day. Lunch can be enjoyed from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm, perfect for a midday meal. Dinner is available from 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm, concluding your day with a delightful meal. Guests are requested to place their orders at least 24 hours in advance.
Guests are requested to carry their own alcoholic beverages, juices, cold drinks and refreshments as there are no markets nearby.
Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy, if cancellation is requested:
– Free cancellation – 15 days before arrival.
– Within 8-14 days of arrival – 1-night penalty.
– Within 0-7 days of arrival – 100% penalty.
