Tucked away in the mist-laden mountains of Taradevi, just 25 minutes before Shimla, stands a cottage that has witnessed over a century of history. Built by the British in 1909, this 4-bedroom retreat is more than just a home—it’s a journey back in time, where vintage charm meets modern luxury. Whether with family, friends, or your beloved pets, this hidden gem in Shimla promises memories that linger long after you leave.

Imagine waking up to the soft glow of sunrise, the mountains bathed in hues of gold. The crisp mountain air carries the sound of birdsong as you step into the lush green garden, a steaming cup of tea in hand. As the day unfolds, indulge in sumptuous Indian, Chinese, or barbecue meals, prepared by a private in-house chef.

Evenings are magical—a bonfire crackles under a sky full of stars, laughter fills the air over a barbecue, and stories come alive in the warm glow of lanterns. If you seek a moment of solitude, simply lie back on the grass, gaze at the endless sky, and let nature embrace you. Inside, the cottage lives in the Colonial Era, adorned with antique artifacts and vintage décor, each piece whispering stories of the past.

We care for your absolute comfort! To that effect, please note:
– Smoking is allowed outdoors only to protect the wooden flooring.
– A complimentary driver will escort you from the highway due to the rugged 500m path.
– This home welcomes married couples, families, and corporate groups; gentlemen and stag groups are not permitted.
– Given the secluded location, bring essentials or ask our caretakers for assistance.
– Pet meals are available at an extra cost.
– The estate’s antiques and vintage décor reflect its heritage—please handle with care.

Home Rules

Check-in time is 2 PM and Checkout time is 11 AM.
Property staff is available from 7 AM to 10 PM for your service and assistance.
A Security Deposit of Rs. 20,000 is charged for each stay. This amount is 100% refundable in case of no damages or house rules violations.
The primary guest must be at least 21 years of age. All guests are required to provide government-authorized photo and address identification before check-in.
Smoking is only allowed in outdoors.
If guests are found engaging in any illegal or unauthorized activities, or if any illegal or unauthorized substances or materials are discovered on the premises or in possession of the guest(s) during the stay, the host reserves the right to immediately vacate the property without any compensation or refunds.
Visitors or outsiders are not allowed inside the home premises.
Guests must disclose any pets accompanying them at the time of making the booking. Upon approval only can the guest bring their pets to the property. Extra charges may apply.
Pets are strictly prohibited from accessing bedrooms. Guest to ensure cleanliness of their pets.

Food & Beverages Policy

Outside food is allowed at this home.
Guests can opt for meal options at an extra price. Meal payments have to be done a minimum 2 days prior to the booking for the concerned staff to take your order and source necessary items as the home is situated in a remote location.
Meal payments are non-refundable if the meals are not consumed by the guests
Meal timings are as follow – Breakfast (8AM to 10AM); Lunch (1PM to 3 PM); Dinner (8PM to 10PM).
Guests are requested to carry their own alcoholic beverages, juices, cold drinks and refreshments as there are no markets nearby.

Cancellation Policy

Full booking amount can be credited for a future stay at the same home if canceled within 24 hours of booking confirmation. Price difference (if any) must be paid, and discounts cannot be applied.
Refund Policy, if cancellation is requested:
– 20+ days before check-in: 50% refund.
– 10-20 days before check-in: 20% refund.
– Less than 10 days before check-in: No refund.
Bookings with “non-cancellable discounts” are final, with no cancellations or rescheduling allowed.
Rescheduled Bookings cannot be canceled once confirmed.
No cancellations or reschedules for stays during long weekends, festivals, or gazetted public holidays.
Rescheduling is subject to approval with a 10% rescheduling fee plus any price difference for new dates.
